Medical Director
Dr. Sanjay Kumar, MD is an Internal Medicine Specialist in Point Pleasant Boro, NJ, and has over 30 years of experience in the medical field. He graduated from Rajendra Medical College in 1990. He is affiliated with medical facilities such as Centrastate Medical Center and Community Medical Center. He is the Medical Director at Crest Pointe.
Subacute Medical Director
Crest PointeDr. Vida comes to Crest Pointe with over 32 years of experience in the medical field and is currently an internal medicine specialist in Brick, NJ with Ocean County Family Care. He graduated from A.T. Still University Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine in 1991. Dr. Vida also attended the Kansas City College of Medicine and Bioscience and New York University. He is board certified in Internal Medicine and Geriatrics and has been caring for families in Ocean County for over two decades. He is affiliated with Hackensack Meridian Health Ocean University Medical Center and is one of NJ Top Docs of 2022.
Cardiac Director
Dr. Sandler graduated from the Drexel University College of Medicine in 1997. Dr. Sandler works in Point Pleasant, Brick, Toms River and other NJ locations. He specializes in Cardiovascular Disease and Nuclear Medicine. Dr. Sandler is affiliated with Community Medical Center, Centrastate Medical Center and Southern Ocean Medical Center.
Wound Care Specialist
Dr. Rothberg is a double Board Certified Wound Care Specialist who works with Advanced Practice Nurses and many specialists to treat simple to the most complicated wounds successfully. He is a national lecturer and educator in the field of wound care with more than 25 years of experience. He is also one of the lead physicians at the Center for Wound Care at Ocean Medical Center in Brick NJ.
Nephrology Director
Dr. Albanese started Jersey Coast Nephrology and Hypertension Associates in 2005. He received his undergraduate degree from Rutgers University in New Brunswick, NJ with Honors. He received his medical degree from the University of Osteopathic Medicine and Health Sciences, College of Osteopathic Medicine and Surgery in Des Moines, IA. Following medical school, he completed a rotating internship between Seton Hall University in South Orange, NJ and Saint Michael’s Medical Center in Newark, NJ. He completed his residency in internal medicine and his Nephrology Fellowship at Cleveland Clinic Foundation. Dr. Albanese is board certified in Internal Medicine and Nephrology. Special interests in Nephrology include management of Chronic Kidney Disease, hypertension, kidney stone prevention and dialysis. Dr. Albanese is on the medical staff at Jersey Shore University Hospital, Ocean Medical Center and Community Medical Center.
Palliative Care
Dr. Sharma is a trained board-certified physician specializing in Palliative Medicine with over 14 years of palliative care experience. She joined VNA Health Group in July 2018 and was instrumental in starting a community-based palliative program. This initiative helped to provide palliative care to patients in their homes, long-term care, and assisted living facilities. Prior to joining VNA Health Group, Dr. Sharma worked at Montefiore Medical Center in New York as a Palliative Medicine consulting physician for 12 years. She is dedicated to bringing her expertise, compassion, and vast knowledge in palliative care to her patients with chronic and life-limiting illnesses and to improving their quality of life.
Physiatrist
Dr. Dambeck attended New York College of Osteopathic Medicine where he received his medical degree in 2004. Dr. Dambeck completed an internship year in internal medicine at Jersey Shore University Medical Center in Neptune, NJ where he graduated in 2005. He completed his residency training at Mount Sinai Medical Center in New York City where he was the Chief Resident in 2007-2008, graduating in 2008. He is board-certified in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation.
Physiatrist
Psychometrician, Life Coach for Caregivers
Dr. Mira Ahuja has facilitated Caregiver Support Groups in Monmouth and Ocean Counties for the past 20 years. She has educated caregivers on the progression of Alzheimer’s disease and its effects on the patients’ daily capabilities and activities.
She further shows them ways to deal with issues encountered with their loved ones without getting overwhelmed. She educates our staff on effective care of patients and is proud of her affiliation with Marquis Health Consulting Services. She is a staunch believer in the motto that ‘Patients Come First’.
Dr. Ahuja works in collaboration with leading geriatrician Dr. Joshua Shua-Haim, MD, FACP, AGSF, CMD Professor of Medicine at UMDNJ-Robert Wood Johnson Medical School.
