Crest Pointe Rehabilitation & Healthcare Center Celebrates Groundbreaking for 3,000-SF Building Expansion to House Therapy Gym

Local Dignitaries Joined in Event at  Point Pleasant, N.J., Skilled Nursing  Facility

POINT PLEASANT, N.J., Oct. 5, 2020 – The Crest Pointe  Rehabilitation & Healthcare Center team, healthcare colleagues and local dignitaries this fall celebrated the groundbreaking for a 3,000-square-foot building expansion at a socially distant outdoor launch event. The expansion to house a new therapy gym is part of a multi-million-dollar renovation and specialty programming initiative at the Point Pleasant skilled nursing facility.

Special guests included Point Pleasant Borough Mayor Robert Sabosik, Point Pleasant Beach Mayor Paul Kanitra and Bay Head Mayor Bill Curtis, along with Lynette Whiteman, senior advisor to Congressman Andy Kim. Leadership of the Point Pleasant Police and Fire Departments, Point Pleasant Chamber of Commerce and local religious organizations also joined in the event, which included virtual tours and refreshments.

“Crest Pointe’s renovation is bringing it to the next level, making it one of the best along the Jersey Shore,” Mayor Sabosik said at the groundbreaking. “Crest Pointe has a reputation for quality patient care and staff retention, and is exactly the type of company we want investing in our community and taking care of our elderly.”

Crest Pointe is working with Marquis Health Services, a leading nursing home consulting firm, on the design and implementation of the renovation project. Crest Pointe’s new  therapy gym  will feature state-of-the-art  equipment, including  a smart car to help patients simulate actual daily living skills during the rehabilitation process. The facility’s renovation already has  introduced a redesigned dining area and updated resident rooms.

Crest Pointe and Marquis also regularly partner with leading medical providers and area hospitals to develop  new specialty  programming that meets  the healthcare needs of the regional community. Recently, this has included the introductions of new Cardiac Care and Chronic Kidney Disease (CKD) Management offerings, with others in development.
